Hi I have a hanker for some flajacks and have oats, golden syrup glace cherries, and coconut in the cupboard so it makes sense to use them

I’ve used this recipe several times and it works rather well for me.

5 ounces butter
4 ounces light muscovado sugar
2 tablespoons golden syrup
12 ounces porridge oats
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 medium ripe bananas

Mix all together, bake, then cover with dairy milk. Trail fuel!

My good lady made some recently that were amazing – chocolate, raisins, marshmallows in with the oats and golden syrup and that, then dipped in chocolate when cooked.
