Just got some Five Ten Freeride Elements. They seem very stiff, how much do they soften up when you break them in over a few weeks ? They just seem very uncomfortable at the moment.

Also stuck a bit size wise as the Uk 11 is to tight and the UK 12 a tiny but big (no half sizes in Element) so anyone pad them out with thicker inner soles ?

I have these and if its wet they are nice with the seal skinz,if just normal socks i just stick ai insole in them,feel fine

They will soften up a bit, mine feel very comfortable now. I bought the slightly bigger size so I can wear sealskins and merino socks in the winter.

I don’t remember mine being particularly stiff, they are very comfortable now though.
