I can’t seem to find an adapter to fir my 10speed shifter to my newer xt brakes…

Matchmakers are for shimano-sram…I suppose I could try to modify them?
Has anyone mated these unlikely lovers together before??

Hmm. I’ve got I spec shifters on 2 types of brakes. One with indent inside the clamp, one without. They needed different methods – one needed a little bar with a threaded hole in the side. Has your lever got the little indent inside the clamp?

I also fell foul of this exact problem! Couldn’t find a solution so brakes will probably be going back!

I changed mine last year – new brake lever, XT, and original ispec shifters. There was a Shimano conversion kit with various bolts and adaptors available at Wiggle. Worked a treat.

    here it is

Requires changing the top plate of the shifters, all parts are in the kit.

Are you sure? It specifically says in that link “2nd generation Ispec B”. What model shifters/brakes did it work with?

    Shifters are 2013 XT780 and brakes are 2015 XT785
