    Just had a look at fitting a gamut P20 bash to the above and realised that unlike triple chain sets the double has no flat outer face where the bash would sit.

    Does that mean it won’t work as I’m a bit worried the bash might crack when the bolts are done up tight?

    If the outside face of the crank spider is recessed for the bolt head, would a chainring spacer work between the bash and spider?

    The problem is that the outside edge of the spider is not flat so where the bash sits on the spider it’s not a flush fit

    That’s why I’m suggesting the spacers! 🙄 They will hold the bash away from the swoopy spider at 4 points.
