    I am building a 29er and bought a nice pair of used wheels that had the Stans tape on them and one wheel already had a tyre on it.

    Having bought a new tyre for the other wheel and fitted it it held preasure but slowly deflates. Do you have to run sealant as a matter of course or should the tyre stay inflated?

    My set up stayed inflated without sealant, don’t think I’d run with it that way though.

    Drop some sealant in, it’ll help keep it inflated and give a bit more puncture protection.
