    possible? All I know is he was a gunner in a Lancaster Bomber

    Load on line re service records and if you know what squadron he was in there are various squadron histories as well.

    My grandfather was a Mosquito pilot killed in 1943 and was interesting to find out more about him.

    Have a look in the National Archives here: http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/help-with-your-research/research-guides/

    There are loads of records for all sorts of things including combat reports and personnel files.

    Interesting and timely, as I was thinking that I should find out more about my grandfather who was a pilot in the RFC in WW1.

    Interesting and timely, as I was thinking that I should find out more about my grandfather who was a pilot in the RFC in WW1.

    Sadly, a lot of WWI service records were lost in the blitz. I know my Grandfather’s records were destroyed.
