    Have some fresh figs in the fridge which mrs cloudnine bought.. Because i like fig biscuits. But the best way to eat / cook / bake etc figs is???

    Edit.. I dont have an ‘Artisan’ pizza oven if thats whats needed….

    Slice in half and baste with honey, bake in oven at 200 degrees, toast some sliced almonds in a dry heavy weight frying pan, throw on top and eat with a scoop of full fat greek greek yoghurt – lush!

    That boost bar recipe looks great.. The somafunk baked figs looks a winner.

    Fois gras production is banned in this country for a reason…

    What somafunk said. Even better with a splash of amaretto, and pine nuts and mascarpone instead of almonds and yoghurt.

    Slice off the top, quarter the fig, place an equal sized piece of mozzarella next to it, wrap in a quarter of a piece of Parma ham, drizzle with a little EV olive oil, add a little cracked black pepper, skewer with a fork and eat whole.

    Parma ham, or your air dried ham off choice, and figs go well together.

    EDIT: As Daffy has already suggested.

    Chop them and stick them in a casserole dish with a lump of beef, garlic, onions, apples and red wine and leave in the oven for a long time.

    Is it easy judging which bit of the fig to discard, or do you play Russian roulette with your apples, eating them whole and giving yourself a nice dose of cyanide? 😆
