Quite a few female runners have their hair tied in a ponytail which swings about when they run.

Does the swinging of the ponytail make your neck ache or give you a headache or something?

*Answers welcome from ponytailed runners of any gender but I’m directing this more towards female runners as IME there aren’t that many male ones with ponytails

It never bothered me, but then when I had longer hair I didn’t take it off when I wasn’t running so I was pretty used to it day-to-day.

Hair swinging about isn’t usually the main concern . . .

…if you’ve been measured for a well fitting, supportive sports hat.

No. Running with a swingy high ponytail is one of life’s great little pleasures. I have a dodgy shoulder at the moment and am stupidly sad because I can only tie my hair back in a pathetic nape-of-neck abomination.
