I've got a dreadful memory for films, and favourites is very hard, but I'm really glad I watched...
Tsotsi (if you like City of God)
Before Sunrise
Old Boy (I didn't like the others in the trilogy)
Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring (pretty depressing though)
Priceless (french mainstream romcom - I much prefer it to the hollywood variety)
Mesrine (good long tv-style french thriller)
Zatoichi
Heartbreaker (an even better french mainstream romcom)
The Lives of Others
Primer (convoluted mind games and time travel)
Once
Sideways

The Driver – like someone said ‘it stuck in my head’ too. I did not like it at the time either.

Hereafter, I don't know if it was a 'blockbuster' or not but I had never heard of it before I watched it on Sky movies the other week. I suppose the fact that it had Matt Damon in and was directed by Clint Eastwood gives it a Blockbuster heritage.

The Life Aquatic. It's probably the worst film I've ever seen
You've never seen The Fisher King, have you?Posted 3 months ago # -
Pan's Labrynth
Buba Ho Tep
Dead Man Walking
A Prophet
Goodbye LeninPosted 3 months ago # -

You're right, I'd tried to put that stinking pile of manure behind me. That said, it's still not as bad as The Life Aquatic. It tries, and in part at least, it succeeds. It just doesn't have the full panoply of miserablist crapness that only Wes Anderson can deposit on the screen.

no mention of The Illusionist yet?
It's good but it's not the best of the decade.I think Four Lions would be a good contender for both summarising and satirising the decade.

As a personel favourite it would have to be (Soulboy) not because it was great acting or sets but it reminded me of my Youth on the Northern Soul Scene
.
I suppose any film which stirs up good memorys from your teenage years will be good to watch, even the ones that remind you of that first failed attempt with some lucky girl round the back of some Garage somewhere

Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior, from 2003
Some excellent muay thai fight sequences, little bit of humour, acting pretty average.

...of the last decade
Some people need to check when half these films actually came out. You may be alarmed at how much time has passed

I agree with lots of those above.
I will chuck Moon into the ring as well

It's good but it's not the best of the decade.
And it was 2010, no? Fabulous film though. Am off to see a dramatized version of Belleville Rendezvous next week
Continuing the animation theme, I'd mention
