Apart from Jesus who I keep hearing all my life from people around me, I guess it is me colleague at the moment … coz he loves bacon.

Anyone who loves bacon earns my respect especially when going against his/her “belief”.

    Bacon taste good. 😆

edit: Albert Einstein … I guess for others.

Jeremy. Known him since 2003 when we were living in London. He perfected marijuana flapjacks that tasted even nicer than regular flapjacks. Genuinely nice guy.

No problem with the title edit but for my own information, is “jew” derogatory?

    Rabbi Shmuley Boteach.

Not to Jews. Perhaps the mods were unsure or confused.

It’s political correctness gone mad, I tell you.

No. But then I’m not a fully paid up member of the professionally offend club.

@wrecker. The problem with your original title isn’t that it’s derogatory. And your apparent aim for the thread is fun. Just that the word carries some baggage. Especially on the internet. This piece explains some of the background.

I’d have to go for Rabbi Lionel Blue. An absolute star and one of the few people to make ‘Thought for the Day’ entertaining and enlightening.

And Jake Gyllenhaal, Natalie Portman, and Gal Gadot.

John E Freiberg … Greenwich CT resident who I worked for for one summer!

He took scrimping and saving to a whole new level, loved and hated him in equal measure!

Hard to choose really such a range. I could make a list 50 names long

Albert Einstein for such an enormous contribution to Science

Gal Gadot. It’s possibly a bit sexist to nominate her just for being the most beautiful woman that’s ever lived, so I’ll add to it that she’s been in no less than 3 different Fast and Furious films. Hard to imagine a higher accord.

Certainly not Ryan – went to school with him & he was a bit of an arse. Nothing to do with his religious affiliation mind you.

and Baddiel – I’d strongly recommend his show about his parents.

Einstein has already been mentioned so I’d like to add Simon Schama to the list. Bit of a sentimentalist but I could listen to him waffle on for hours.
