I think I can just about squeeze a FBN into my Shand, using a mid width rim.

But there’s no point unless I can run it softer than a 2.75″ Dirt Wizard or 3″ Knard (I’m guessing 12psi on trails?)

So how low do you go?

12-15psi for me usually, though I can imagine running it a wee bit lower for certain conditions.* Remember that the “3.5” FBN is no wider than my 3.0″ NN so whatever the KNard runs at would be a good starting point.

(* I run my 4″ fat tyres at unfashionably high pressures too – 10-12psi mostly)

Shame there’s so little choice in 26+

I think I was on 8-12 psi depending on where I was riding. Generally about 1 or 2 psi more than I used with real 4″ tyres.

Less than 8 psi felt gelatinous on my relatively narrow rims.
