Not suitable for kids IMO. Can be hilarious though!

Glen the local perv (56?) is dating Meg (18), when Meg passes wind Glen notes it’s OK, it’s making room for something else.

When Glen witnesses a baby girls nappy being change after she’s pooped, Glen notes it’s free now, but it won’t be long before she’s charging.

Peter (Megs dad) creeps into Megs room and gets in bed with her, spooning her from behind and says (It’s OK Meg, daddies just going to take your temperature”.

Family Guy is very very clever and hilariously funny, and proves that at least a small section of the US on the West Coast is ‘normal’.

Suitable for a 7 year old? Hardly. As a responsible parent not suitable for anyone under 18.

A lot of the humour is based on the outrageous transgression of social conventions and norms.

Ooh, get you using big words.

On BBC3 at 11 most nights, watch a couple and make your own mind up.
That’s about the right slot for it too, IMO.
Last night’s episode’s themes were auto-erotic asphyxiation, and domestic violence. The episode ended with one of the “good guys” murdering the abusive brother in law by ramming his car into his head against a tree, exploding it. TBH, it wasn’t one of the funnier episodes.
Some (a minority) of the episodes would be ok, but you can’t risk it ‘cos when it isn’t suitable, it’s very unsuitable.

Why does she want to watch it in the first place? Where’s she picked up on it from? Does she think it’s something it isn’t?

The vomit scene has got to be one of the best, closely followed by:

BBC3 (usually) put it on at 10 for a reason
I know they’re kind of filtered/adjusted episodes but Simpsons is on at 6.

Big Diff in bed times huh.
Family Guys been running long enough and popular enough that if it was borderline they could’ve filtered out the worst bits and run it earlier, but they consistantly haven’t .. wouldn’t leave enough left.

Too old for 7 year olds IMO

Having said that my brother/sister-in-law never batted and eyelid or paid attention to content with any of their 4 kids TV watching and they seem to be all OK (as far as teenagers are nowadays)

AS demonstrated on this thread .. part episodes and content is easily available on the internet via youtube etc .. maybe viewable through her mobile if she has one or friends at school mobiles.

OP, I had today off, I could have done useful things, but no, you had to post a thread inviting me to spend the whole day watching family guy clips on youtube. Damn Your Eyes!
