The offspring of my parents’ siblings are called my cousins.

What would my offspring be called in relation to my cousins’ offspring?

Are they second-cousins? Are they removed in any way?
I ask ‘cos there will be some family gathering over the coming summer, and I know this question will come up.
Whilst I’m here, are my cousins’ offspring MY first cousin once-removed?

    Expert knowledge sought.
    Thanks.

Second cousins to to first question.

1st cousin once removed to the next.

Not sure once it goes beyond that…

Degree of removal is how many generations you are separated from. Ordinal number is how many generations you need to go back to get a common ancestor minus one.

So second cousins are my cousins’ cousins. First cousin once removed are my cousins’ kids.

In which case the answer would be your Husband / Wife
