    Pub rock chancers when they first jumped on the bandwagon, nowadays some kind of scary tribute / working men's club band. No No No!

    If you like the songs then that's fine.

    I like some Stranglers stuff too, and I'm past caring whether they were 'cool' or not.

    The Stranglers sold more records in 77 than all the other punk, new wave bands put together.
    Live only the Damned and Stiff Little Fingers came close.
