Fair enough, but you do appear to offer services of a commercial nature.

So I presume you have permission for this ad?

This is the wrong place for extreme sports anyway – this place is for middleaged mincers on skill compensators

In not advertising the business, just the competition, which is completely non profit, but you can use the facebook link instead if your prefer, just search for extreme sport film and photo competition 2010. The aim is to boost the extreme sport community in South Wales which is such a great place for all types of sport. We have some great support for the competition including Dynamic Rock, Cotswold Outdoor Talbot Green and South Wales The Evening Post who will be showing all the winning photos in the paper and the films on the website.

The competition brief will be released this week with all the information, there is an online form you fill in and it gets sent to you. Its not a mailing list.

Hope this helps, and hope some people enter!

    Cheers

What license do you grant the organisers should you enter? Actually interested rather than being annoying!

Lighten up people – he's hardly doing a "stealth product flogging" mission is he?

Sounds like a good initiative to me. Good luck Tom!

Well sorry for the scepticism but my photos don't go in any comps where the T&Cs aren't very clearly stated – maybe they are when you enter?

Just that I don't want to win a sticker sheet and then see my photo being used foreverandever free of charge…

    no T&C's.
amateur photographers are wising up to the rights grab of these kind of competitions.
want to create a stock library for free? organise a competition and then use the images for profit because of a clause in the entry form.

the terms and condiditons are on the competition brief. Films and photos can be used under the terms and conditions for promotion of the competition (for example next years competition), but not used for profit in anyway, should anyone approach the competition about using the photo or film they would be directed to the owner.

The prizes are being donated, the the audiance voting as well as a judging panel on the night. Winning photos will be shown in the south wales evening post. prizes are not confirmed yet but Cotswold Outdoor are giving the prizes for audiance vote.

thanks "Surf-Mat" just trying to share a fun competition

IMPORTANT: Change to the competition rules: As this is the first year of the competition, we will allow films and photos to be from before 2010 as well. (the old rules stated they had to be done in 2010 only). However these films and photos should not have been shown anywhere else before. If you have any questions please email tom@extremesportfilms.co.uk
