Has anyone had any experience of Dt Swiss XM 401 rims?

Just wondering how they would be for my next pair of trail rims?

Similar to Stans Arch or Flows?

We have them on an SB5c demo bike, they seem light and set up tubeless really easily with the pre fitted tape. In light round the block testing they feel good. In a few months I will have smacked them off some rocks and will find out how strong they are..

What was the verdict of the XM 401 rim?

I have XM 401 rims, which I build onto existing Hope Pro2 Evo hubs when I went from 29er wheels to 27.5.

I must confess a bias towards DT rims as I’ve found them durable, light and well-finished over the years. The 401s seem to have an anodised finish to them – scratches less easily – and they’re 27mm width (from memory), meaning that they’re a little wider than something like the old XR400 rim.

They replaced a pair of Stans Crest, which I found an absolute pain to mount tyres onto, whereas it’s a total doddle with the XM 401s.
