Cell A1 has conditional formatting to make the cell turn Green if ‘Green’ is typed.

How do I make it apply to cells A2 to A5 as well, when ‘Green’ will only be written in cell A1.

Conditional Formatting – Manage Rules and then expand the selected area.

make it conditional on the outcome of a formula i.e

$a$1=”Green” rather than the cell value of the each cell

Conditional Formatting > new rule > use a formula to determine which cells to format

Or use the format painter paint brush from the conditional fomatted cell onto the one you need to have the same format (top left tool panel paintbrush, select cond format cell, double click the paint brush thwb click once on the cell you need painted)
