I’ve got one (and it works great) which connects my pc, but I want it on my laptop too (to run both simultaneously). So my question is, do I need to buy another 1 plug (as does it have to be the same make) for the laptop (which is on the same power circuit as the pc one), or do I need to buy both plugs again?

    Thanks very much.

    Just buy one more plug.

Just one more plug. There are a few competing standards and different vendors implement different ones so to be on the safe side I’d get it from the same vendor. More likely it’ll all just work. Also easier in terms of just having one set of management software to do both plugs.

Can anyone help me understand why my bastard TLInk one won’t work in the socket of one room but will work in the socket if another? No changes to settings etc.

    Different circuits at a guess
