Quick question for those that have ridden the Etape Caledonia in previous years. Do any of you remember if the event guide said ‘photo id will be required at registration’. If it did, was it required. I’ve been kindly offered a free place from a guy on the forum and my pal really wants to do it, but it does say entries are non-transferable. Now that isn’t an issue until they ask for id at registration. I have e-mailed the organisers but they’re following the official line as expected.

During the registration process, you will be required to show a form of photo identification in order to receive your race pack.

I know druidh but I was just wondering how strictly that’s enforced. If it said the same last year and they didn’t ask for id at registration then we’re sorted. A bit pissed off the the organisers won’t budge on swapping details.
