I’m looking for some grips for wife’s hybrid to turn it from standard flat bar to a bike with more hand position options for longer rides.
Which Ergon grips are the best for small(ish) hands?

I’ve used Ergon grips for years and swear by them.

Try the GP series in size S. Then just pick 1,2 or 3 depending on what bar end size you want.

You won’t regret it.

The Spesh ergons are good too, and cheaper.

also evans own brand ergon are comfy

Specialized ones come in a WSD (ie smaller and in girly colours)

BUT ergon style do not give you extra positions unless you got for the ones with integral barends
