He stayed on because you can only make three substitutions per game. And if you were to take everyone off the pitch that was worse than being a man down then you would only be left with one player.

Yes ,very funny! he has been poor in both games.I know the manager has options for Rooneys strike partner .I'm just not sure he has thought of an option that allows for Rooney going off form
