Building a Peregrine frame up, bought second hand from a nice fella on here. Been umming and haaring about a Brooks B-17 saddle. Any thoughts and experiences ?

Was it just me?
I read the title and thought 'why is he buying a world war 2 bomber for his bird of prey'?

I'm disappointed, I was hoping for some 1940s planes too.

Your backside will love you longtime if you don't get one.
I could sell you a broken in one 1300 miles 100 hours use. Never got comfortable enough (at all?) to justify sitting on it for 100 hours and as it was on a fixed roadie that was most of those hours.
Some people get on with them...

Glad it wasn't just me with the avian war plane mix-up.
While I'm here...
"buy a B17 for my peregrine" - Would that lead to MrVear owning his bird with some bombers?

I've a middlemoor saddle (like brooks, but older)
It's a PITA, it't not that comfy, (well its comfy on my arse, but it chafes on my thighs), it regulalrly grows mould if used in the rain, and it weighs a metric ton.

Looks like a new WTB Rocket V then. The plane thing never crossed my mind : )

Realy ?Not literately but they are very heavy. I a have two in the spare box that I picked up cheap, just haven't been able to justify the weight, despite not being a weight weenie. My arse is very tolerant though so I don't have problems finding good saddles so less need.

540 g according to google, you get forks which weigh less.
