    Hi guys,
After my project to run some strip lighting sustainability off a small wind turbine failed miserably, I am stuck with this motor I purchased off ebay. I don’t have the space for it to lie around so I’m looking to sell it on to
someone who actually needs it. The thing is, I know next to nothing about the value.

This is the blurb I had when buying it originally:
“This is a DC drive motor made by ‘Groschopp’ of Germany a world leader in precision drive motors.

    Model EM 94-60

Its 220mm long x 100mm wide and stands 80mm high, requires a DC voltage of around 180 – 200v @ only 0.075A applied to the field coil
the armature will run from 5 – 235 volts DC obviously reversible with a reasonable torque.
The shaft is 10mm dia. Rated at 120 watts. @ 3,000 rpm.”

There also seems to be some sort of greeny putty on the windings…
Any help will be kindly appreciated 🙂 Have a good evening!

stick it on ebay. It’s pretty much worth what someone would pay for it (not a lot).

The green putty is used to balance the armature instead of drilling it.

Looks like it may be brushless, have you tried seeing if it even works?

It will get more on e-bay if you know if it works. 🙂

There could be a clue in how much you paid for it?

As andl says, put it back on eBay. It’s worth what somebody will pay, put on an auction with the best description and photos you can, and a postage cost that ensures you can actually send it without loss if it goes for £2

Really?? why does it have brushes and an armature then? 🙄

Any motor would be pretty useless withoit an armature.

It does have brushes and a commutator though 😉
