    been toying with the idea of a electric bike to assist my riding cos of medical reasons.

    found a very nice looking cannondale that is available converted to electric assist.

    £549 at evans and leisure lakes as a standard boke

    £1595 for a modified version.

    Depends how good the electric version is I guess. Not familiar with that particular system.
    To add a Bionx system (which is the only one I’ve tried) to a standard bike costs from about £1100.

    1k does seem a bit excessive for a battery and hub. Would it be cheaper to get the evans bike (or a different one) and the elctric assist kit separately and do it yourself?
