I would hope an electric bike would have regenerative braking 🙂

But unless the rider is disabled, what’s the point? Without the effort required you lose much of the endorphin hit and fitness benefit 🙁

Powabyke X bike – propper raleigh pioneer bike with a li ion battery and a motor @ sub 40lbs . Not a patch on the old electric bikes which weighed as much as 60lbs !

I remember it once took me and another mechanic over an hour to fix a puncture on one of those electric bikes. The tyre bit was relatively easy, getting the wheel back into the frame and all connected up to the gears and battery power required 2 people, lots of cursing and ingenious use of various tools.

God help the poor old lady stranded at the side of the road in the rain trying to sort that lot out!

crazy legs – thats why the ones we sell have motors and gubbings in the front wheel. Rear is a standard cycle rear wheel.

Front requires the use of a 21mm spanner to remove the wheel nuts and a philips screw driver to remove the wires.

We suggest that due to it most likely being a thorn flat that they remove the tire with the wheel still on the bike and patch it.

Most of the guys we sell them to though just call their wifes with the car.
