  • El Guapo Monarch Shock – really slow rebound

Have a friend’s bike in the shed, fitting some bits for him

Noticing his Monarch shock has a ridiculously slow rebound – the dial goes from really slow at one extreme to painfully slow at the other,

Not had time to fiddle with it much yet, but is this a known issue? Any easy fixes?

Have you checked the air pressure? (sorry have to ask 😉 )

If so and you have 150psi+ in there, he may want to return it to the place of purchase for a warranty inspection as at full fast it should be pretty quick (I.E to quick with that pressure in)

I let all the air out and reinglated to 155 ish

Seems a bit better. It’s a “H” tune – that’s High level of damping, right?

Just feels odd to me, the range of adjustment so narrow that it barely makes any difference, no pop from it at all. Still quite slow, even at full open.

No, don’t think it is – but worth a check, I guess
