I have just noticed that the caps on my egg beaters have both come off. The body of the pedals are wobbling a bit too.

I am going on line to buy some of those metal caps. Re greasing them, is it simply a case of squirting grease in the pedal housing and replacing the cap. Or is there something more converlouted (spelling!) that I need to do?

Strip down and change of bearings is very easy. Sounds like the bushings have gone. All the bits you need comein one kit.

probably better to get a rebuild kit, you get the end caps in it (did in mine for Mallets anyway) but if there is some play you possibly need to rebuild them anyway.
Not a massive job and the instructions are easy to follow, as are the videos on the website.

Some of the ’03 onwards Eggbeaters come with a grease port which screws in the end cap threads and lets you inject fresh lube right through the pedal with a grease gun.

It will ensure every possible space oin the internals is packed with grease.
