hello off to Edinburgh tomorrow till Sunday any recommendations on things to do see and so on……………given it suppose to be raining stormy and generally grimn so off the list goes the ghost tours. Both Veggies as well……………

We’re heading up to see relatives tomorrow morning till Sunday. The weather looks pretty shocking up there, not looking forward to the drive up.

Was thinking of taking the bikes but probably wont bother now.

Train to North Berwick and do the Seabird Centre.

Train to Dalmeny, see the Forth Bridge up close, visit the Hawes Inn then wander back along the coast to Cramond.

Museum as noted above – there are 2 next door to each other.
A walk around Greyfriars Kirkyard and see the elaborate mausoleums, and read of the awful history of the place.
The National Gallery is one of my favourites. It is undergoing refurb (finished yet?), so only half was open last time I was there in August, but still worth a visit.
The Portrait gallery was refurb’d a coupe of years ago, and is a beautiful building, with some really good exhibits.
Take a climb up the Scott Monument, laugh at fat Americans trying to get up the narrow staircase, take a camera to take pics from the top.
Want a brisk workout, walk up to Arthurs Seat, plan on being half a day doing that. Or, take a taxi up, and walk down.

Mother India Cafe for food, veggie dishes are excellent, just down from the National Museum of Scotland which is worth a visit and free. Brew Dog just down and round on the Cowgate as well!
