Anyone know the score with stats in Edinburgh right now? Just sold my flat with 3 of them outstanding - last I heard (a few months back) the whole council dept was shut subject to a fraud investigation?
I was in my flat today finalising it and someone had left a note asking when I was going to fix a busted stair railing. [The railing was smashed by a thief who stole my wife's bike a couple of months back (thief was subsequently caught)]. I feared for my sides splitting at the idea that I would pay for this on my own - wouldn't this be the sort of thing that a stat notice would be raised for? What are the chances of that happening if the entire dept is bolloxed?
