    Hi,

Planning to go there Wednesday with the GF, can anyone give me a route from Princess Street to the Gardens on foot that’s straight down. I remember doing it years ago you can cut through somewhere round Hamilton Place ???

Are the gardens still free to enter you just have to pay for the hot house etc ?

Hanover St, Dundas St, Brandon St?, Cannonmills, Inverleith Row, East entrance. They are re-developing the west entrance atm

Still free to enter gardens but don’t know about any other charges.

Its a “voluntary” charge for the greenhouses IIRC

Thanks for the directions and thank you for the heads up on the West Entrance that would have been a pain!

Looking forward to going, hope the weather holds up 🙂

Some of the houses are still free – you can still get into the first palm house free.
