Going up the Clyde climb today and someone shouts rider,so I turn round and this guy on a ebike fly’s past us with a full facer on wearing a pressure suit and disappears into the horizon. Get home to find the guy has posted his run on Strava with a 14:49 minute lap. You could argue how do I know it’s the same guy that posted on Strava we where the only three on the hill and his speed for the Clyde climb was 19.7kph

Flag it. Will get dealt with soon enough if the uphill speed is sufficiently improbable compared with current KOM.

Flyby should show where he passed you.

Report it to strava if it means that much to you.

Flag it with Strava – he should have saved it as an e-bike activity.

that’s a fast lap by normal standards, what’s the best time recorded ? ( I don’t do strava).

I can get round it in 20 mins on a good day on my HT, or a bit faster on FS

Someone using an e-bike to grab KOMs?

Another reason why strava is doomed.

    Maybe you misheard him?

It might have been ” Git oot ma road, ya wee ride” 😉

    [/quote]Honestly, who shouts ‘rider’ ?

Was with the kids at ‘degla a while back, I think they were 7 and 9 maybe. We were on the end of the blue/green route when some bloke did indeed shout “Rider”.

    I was gobsmacked

    who shouts ‘rider’

I do (or “riding”); if by some miracle I manage to keep going on a climb where someone has stopped in the middle of it and I want to get past. Usually reserved for groups where I know everyone, but I’ve occasionally (very!) used it when I don’t know the rider I’m approaching (not at kids at trail centres mind!). Always followed with a “cheers” or “ya bell end” if they don’t move 😉

    Why not?!

Thought it had to be “ELITE RIDER COMING THROUGH!” to apply?
