Just bid on a s/h camera lens, pitched my max 30% less than the BIN for a new lens from a retailer – which would have a warranty, DSR etc.

I got outbid to 1p over the price for the latter.

Am I missing something or is the world full of tubes?

eBay seems to attract a special, extra-annoying variety of selfish idiot, doesn’t it?

One of them just cost me almost £20 in listing fees after they bought an expensive item and then changed their mind. Because the customer is always right, and because I’m a nice, fair-minded chap, I refunded him, which leaves me out of pocket and seething quietly. Once I’ve shifted these bits of kit I think I’ll stick to buying cheap tat off of there and leave the selling to other mugs.

[Edit] On the wild off-chance, what lens? I’m flogging camera kit you see…

Tube? Since when did tube become and insult? Is this fallout from that bloody stupid moron on the TV cop show that claims everyone’s a “valve”?

Dear god, and from you cynic – I expected more! 😯

Someone is prepared to pay 1p more than you are for a s/h item still less than rrp.why does it make then a tube?

A tube is the person who bought my s/h rear mech for more than it cost new. 😕 Bizarre
