why would he shill bid £60 numerous times?

he hasn,t he is possibly adding amounts to the original bid which is the highest at the moment

anyway I don’t know, it just seems odd that the original bidder keeps bidding in groups of three/ four

oh so you mean he’s adding to his max bid amount?

yes, but it seems odd that he is doing it so much when no-one else is bidding

To do that he would be increasing the max bid each time but as the highest bidder it would still show the same amount.

Some bidders think that it chases off other bidders when they see a lot of bids by the same bidder. Makes others think they can’t possibly win. Even though he may have been bidding only a few pence more each time.

if i were you set yourself the max you’ll pay for the item and bid no more, if he is shill bidding the item will be back up for sale soon enough. It does look a little odd but maybe bidder one is getting a little excited

Agree with tinribz – its a tactic to say to other bidders they cant win as behind the £60 shown will be a progressively higher bid. Its saying “look each of these bids is progressively higher so dont bother having a dabble to see what the max is”. Agree with Tails as well, just bid what you think its worth, once (in the last 10 seconds ).

Whats the minimum bid increment above £60? £5???
Well, just piss the twunt off by bidding just below his likely max. He’ll win, but his trick will have backfired. 🙂

I think he was testing the reserve, his bids ran out £20 below my last one and I was still below the reserve

    just looked odd

    anyway only winner was ebay
