    Been covered before, but cant remember what the solution was?

    Insist on paypal payment, give them receipt and keep a copy?

    If someone was coming to pick something up, I’d expect cash.

    Or will PayPal/eBay send round the heavies now to resolve a dispute?

    And maybe take a photo of them holding the item with a thumbs up and a cheesy grin?

    Cash only. I believe the scam is: Pay with PayPal, collect, then raise a ‘not received’ dispute as you have no proof.

    Wear some white overalls and squirt some tomato sauce on them, and come to the door breathlessly with a hand saw also covered with tomato sauce.

    Apologise and explain that you had some problems with the last ebay collection that you’re just in the middle of sorting out.

    Cash is king. Worst that could happen is they give you some neg feedback.
