Can anyone tell me what information is passed on to a buyer when you successfully win an auction?

I want to check whether a certain seller would get full details of me if I was to win a certain something he’s selling that may well not actually belong to him…

The buyer doesn’t get any info about the seller.

The seller gets the contact info on the buyer’s account e.g. name, address, possibly phone number.

really? I just sold a car and the buyers details popped up once they’d won. are cars different?
