I used to sell piles of interesting camera gear but stopped when it became clear that eBay had simplified their own lives by assuming seller’s guilt every time. This was back when they just automatically froze your PayPal account at the very sniff of a dispute. Once you were in lockdown you couldn’t use your PayPal account, resulting in lost earnings, more disputes due to non-payment, strikes, the lot. I had so much money sucked out of my bank account by chancing scammers I gave up.

My mate, an antiques dealer, had his six year old account shut down with no discussion and no explanations. He had a flawless record, paid his taxes and still has a very respectable bricks and mortar shop, in the family for four generations. Just plain weird.
