I know it can be a bit of a pain in the arse but you really should have considered an option of postage. I know this from past experience !!
Just get an old bike box from your local bike shop and arranged collection with parcelforce etc.

Thanks for the input, I have sold a fair few bikes in the past and have my own reasons why it is being done like this.

Fair enough, it just seemed stranged that you offered it with the option of postage on here but not on ebay.

I did, and still no-one bought it, or even made an offer, despite 24 requests for pictures.
At that time I didn't have the box for posting it but would have got one asap. My local PO won't take bike boxes as they are two big for their premises and my nearest courier depot is a 32 mile round trip with my nearest bike shop an 18 mile round trip in the other direction to get a box. I would have done this for someone on here paying a decent amount but now can't be bothered with it and so the no posting option on ebay. Waiting in for a courier also causes problems as that means taking a whole day off work, no really it does. So, to be honest I'm at the point I'm glad it will sell and someone will come and take it away. Never had this much hassle before. If the bike was overpriced fair enough, maybe it was, but in the later adverts I stated I was open to offers, still none.Posted 2 years ago #
