I have the pleasure of being in Croydon for work for part of next week, and thought I may bring a bike along (MTB, CX or road).

Any easy to follow routes in the area for an hour or two of distraction?

Mail in profile if anyone has a gpx file.

    Thanks

Some decent off road loops around woldingham and north downs way, and bridle paths around warlingham and happy valley near coulsdon. No GPX but I could mark up some Os maps. Road wise there titsey hill and north downs around oxted.

If you only have an hour or two from central Croydon I would suggest a road ride to Downe village. Go via Shirley, West Wickham, Coney Hall, then Gates Green Road and Jackass Lane.

There’s plenty off road but you’ll need more time. Here’s some of the stuff available :

Addington Hill which is pictured is very near central Croydon – about 15 mins bike ride.
