  • Easton ARC (heist) rims – running tubeless

Anybody successfully running these rims or the Heist wheel set tubeless?
I’ve got the ARC 27 rims with stans tape and they don’t want to seal.
Pretty poor for a modern rim tbh. That also have a helpful 2mm hole drilled in either side of the rim. Not sure what use that has.
Any secrets to inflating and sealing these folks?

Mine are running very well tubeless. Didn’t touch tape or valves and went straight up with a track pump.

Really helpful vid on Dirt from Rob Scullion at Continental about getting the tyres to seal. Works wonders.

I’ve done it now, I think I hadn’t tightened the valve tight enough on the rear one. The front went up really easily!

Yeah no problems here with ARC27 rims.

Have since used this method many times, on previously stubborn combinations. They now inflate first time, every time, with no real drama!
