the way we do it (it being the Garburn one) is down the road towards windermere for a couple of miles, then at Brockhole (on the right) take BW left which takes you up to Troutbeck here. At troutbeck, take the BW that comes out at the church here, then left up the road and through the caravan park. Up Garburn, down to Kentmere.
At the church in Kentmere village, take this BW and follow it right round past Sawmill Cottage, Croft Head, Borrowfoot, then a few choices of BW to take you down to the lane which leads up to Dubbs Road. We usually take this one. Go past Dubbs Res, then rejoin Garbun to go down it (but not through the caravan park, so coming out here. Up the road into troutbeck again, and take the BW marked Robin Lane, up past the Post Office. Follow that through Skelghyll woods, Jenkin Crag and back down to Waterhead.
It’s a great ride 🙂
