as a advocate of the use of ebikes, only when they are needed (ill health/disability), i am looking to hire one for a weekend in the lakes in november.
i have my cast off on wednesday, then a month or so with a walking cast, so come november i am gonna give riding a go, hopefully.
if this proves ok, i will be riding a ebike, again hopefully, with the older sweary northerners, on our winter piss up in coniston.

any ebike hire spots in the area?

Ton – I’ve just come back from a holiday in the Bavarian Alps and the e-bikes outnumbered normal bikes 2 to 1. I’ve never seen so many, full sus 29, fat bikes, everything was electric
It seemed that everyone over 30 had one not just the old and infirm.

I think they’re here to stay

I’ve hired one from the Grizedale shop and would recommend them.

Only a matter of time before they outnumber traditional bikes.

Why would I flame? You are in recovery. Plus if you have subsequent issues post recovery why not buy one?
