    Bought this when I started riding last year and it has has given sterling service for what it is.

    Sadly it seems to be suffering “issues” after getting a bit moist.
    When the power is applied there is a brief flash from the LED on the rear and the main LED then nothing. Batteries pack shows 8v when just just off charge.

    I am guessing it is something amiss with the driver. Is it worth me pulling it apart? Are there replacement/upgrade bits available?

    Or, am I better looking to get something new? No way SWMBO obeyed will countenance something from Troutie so are there any suggestions on that front?

    Immediate crisis averted. Was one of the cells after all. Bastid is now LiPo powered.

    So, I am loathed to pay for another Bastid but really can’t justify the money for something decent. Does anyone know if Troute is still doing those DIY ones?
