My raceface turbine middle ring has gone again in less than a year so looking for more durable alternatives for my dues xc cranks.

At 50 quid a ring I’d expect then to last a bit longer. It’s not like they’ve seen a massive amount of use

2012 10 speed Deore, 9/10 speed SLX or 9/10 speed XT – all should be steel with a composite inner bit to help shifting. XT is more expensive and no better really. But you may need to file a bit down to fit them to other cranks due to the bulky plastic bit.

Much nicer than the old style stamped steel rings.

The big advantage of the steel rings isn’t so much longevity ime, it’s that they stay fresh for longer- brand new shimano alu rings shift lovely, but quickly go off a bit.
