I have been checking my local forecast and apparently I am looking forward to temperatures of 1 degree between now and work tomorrow with light snow showers.

On Wednesday it will be -4 degrees but raining.

So we have a 5 degree differential with it not snowing on the coldest day. How does that work? 😳

    (No I didn't do geography!)

Depends on the temperature in the clouds, not on the ground.

The sky is clear on properly cold nights. Clouds keep the heat in.

Sounds like rain is expected on a particular day, but minimum temperature will occur after the rain has cleared. (typical cold front clearance).

Post up where you are and what day you want a forecast for for if you want some more details. These little graphic weather data feeds are shit for explaining stuff, but give lots of content for website managers – Content is not the same as information.
