Interesting article on Shackleton in this months Wire magazine has got me intrigued. I know I'm behind the curve on this one, but can anyone give me listening-list crash course?

UKF Dubstep mix by Tony-O
It's a good bass heavy dubstep mix.

That Wired article online at all?!
Have a look at Magneticman... bit mainstream for the dubstep elite but a good place to start.
As mentioned in the other tread there's a lot more rubbish dubstep than good dubstep out! How if you approach it from a DnB or Breakbeat point of view its actually quote a cool genre to mix in with.

Burn him! Blood on my hands is probably one of the best dubstep tracks ever. Saying that he is more on the minimal side of things compared to someone like Caspa or Excision.

Over-use of the same sounds. Mostly those damn fake bongos I can't stand.
and minimal? I find his stuff far too busy. I've tried to like it!Give me James Blake's minimalism any day

Are you the same Jamie who bought the DVD off me? Hmm?Posted 2 years ago # -
When I saw Prodigy earlier this year they were supported by Foreign Beggars who I thought were quite good. I came in halfway through their set not realising that the drum and bass was actually one of the band into his mike.
