Hi, thanks in advance, if anyone’s had similar to this…Got a 2010 Scott Scale 35 with a Dt Swiss 370 rear hub. Well, was time to replace bearings and pawls.
All ok until I came to replace the freehub body bearing, stamped as a 6001. So I got a new 6001 from Amazon, and then discovered that the two were different. I now know, or am pretty sure that all 6001’s are 28mm outside diam, 8mm width, and 12mm inside diam, which is what the new 6001 was. But the clearly stamped 6001 dt swiss in my freehub, is actually 28/8/10 which is what I need. All I can find is a 16100 which is 28/8/10 as well but I’m obviously confused. All I can think of is that my dt swiss bearing was actually a 16100 but for some reason stamped 6001. There’s no question of me reading it wrong. Why isn’t life simpler, thanks!

Been caught myself, and have issued similar warnings on previous DT hub threads. All a bit strange when the swiss are renown for doing things correctly.
