Police also get called for the welfare of the person too not just for arresting them. Not sure what good ringing her ill husband would do to tell him his main carer is lying drunk in an Asda car park but I guess you were trying to help. The Police will help too but if she’s broken a law or two they may choose to charge. Chances are she’ll just take her licence taken off her but at the end of the day despite the sad circumstances being in charge of a vehicle whilst under the influence of alcohol is not good
