  • Dropper Seatposts – Length Outside of Frame at Maximum Insertion?

Current bike has a Reverb fitted with 125mm drop. When fitted as far as it’ll go into the frame, it measures just shy of 190mm (bottom of collar to middle of saddle rail). Does anyone know of another post with the same amount of drop, but with a less gubbins at either end of the stanchion?

I’m looking at a bike with a seat tube that’s half an inch longer than my own, but I already had to find a thin saddle to get my own bike to fit! I know there are posts with 100mm drop, but don’t fancy that on the kind of bike it’d be going on.

    Thanks for any help.

1timmy1 – it will indeed, thanks.

It looks like I’m out of luck, so will have to decide on a 100mm drop or a smaller frame.

    Is the frame second hand?

Does the seat tower allow for it to be cut down?

I did this to an old Spicy.

I’m sure that measurement on my 125mm drop KS eTen Integra was 185mm

Reverbs come in two lengths in 125mm drop.

    Is yours 420 or 380?

I’ll potentially be selling my 100mm ks lev integra that came with my Cannondale Trigger depending if the 150mm one I’ve ordered fits, if thats any help?

Nwmlarge – I wouldn’t be doing that to the bikes I’ve been looking at!

Anyway, thanks for the replies. I’ve managed to find a large, so it looks like I’m going to manage.
