Need to replace the gear cable on my Cube AMS this weekend. Its internally routed and I’m rather tempted to drill the existing hole and run a full length outer through the frame.
Any reason not too or any pointers?

Warranty would be my only concern.

Drill will snatch on the thin walled tube and make a mess. You can get special drill bits for thin walled drilling though if you still fancy it.
