    standard hss will be fine. A decent, sharp one will be better (eg dormer) but pretty much any will do it. You’ll need a bit of wet and dry or a small file to clean up the hole, too

    Ideally a step drill so it stays round. Standard drill bits won’t have anything to centre into, but will do the job if used carefully.
